# Editing contact information

To edit a contact, you may search for the contact by referring to [Searching contacts](/features/contacts/searching-contacts.md). Click on the 3 dots highlighted. Then, click "Edit" to begin.

Here you may edit the contact's information. The difference between editing contact information in Contacts and Inbox is that the former allows you to amend the contact's phone number. Click "Save" after the editing process is complete.&#x20;
