# Unsending messages

You may unsend a message by hovering over the message you wish to unsend. Click on the three dots and choose "Unsend".

Click "Unsend" after the confirmation message has appeared. "This message was unsent by (member's name)" will show up with the deleted message.&#x20;

According to [WhatsApp policies](https://faq.whatsapp.com/1370476507114859), you have about 2 days after you’ve sent a message to request to unsend a message (Delete for Everyone).
